Who’s had the booster. Yes/no?
Sages of WHO. Not sure how many regular users there are on here anymore (50-60ish??) but a decent cross section of young and old, black and white etc.

To boost, or not to boost.

A) You have had, or are having it. You aren’t worried about the alleged heart/health fears.

B) You haven’t had, or won’t be having it. Or any more jabs… because it’s all pony?

Someone wot is bright can surely do a graph thingy of the results. Not you, Nurse.

I’m sensing the thought of a booster is making you anxious Dave

I had one as part of a vaccine trial 3 weeks back.
No side effects whatsoever & and it could offer me more or less protection but ill take my chances.
Regular blood & swab tests done to monitor antibody reaction.

Had it over 2 months ago, booked it as soon as it was offered, same as the 2 previous jabs. I see it as the only way out of this mess.

Due in tomorrow at midday. Not happy about the heart implications as I have a small child who would be fucked if I carked it (I have ticker issues). But have decided to let my life dangle on the result of a WHO vote because it’s Monday and why not ;)

Boosted middle of October and pleased to find out recently that it gives 85% immunity to the latest variant.

In the last three weeks several contemporaries of mine, also boosted, have shaken off a bout of covid comfortably.

Oh buster is a wanker
He wears a wankers hat
He was offered a booster jab
But he didn’t fancy that
So when he can’t breathe
And lungs start to collapse
We’ll all sit back
And laugh our bollocks off at that.

Had my booster about 3 weeks ago, felt like shit for a few hours but that’s all.

Dave

I doubt any of us on here are qualified to give medical advice. I have already had covid and therefore have decided not to use an inferior form of artificial immune stimulation product.

Had I not been naturally infected, I probably would have had the vaccine, both doses and that would be it.

You need to consider your age, co-morbidities and the risks associated with any rare but serious adverse side effects. Does the benefit outweigh the risk? If so, take it.

I’m getting mine on Friday. Hopefully it won’t mess up my Christmas. I’ll take some paracetamols and drink lots of water just in case.

Ask yourself this - when every government of every democratic nation on earth is advising its adults to get the booster for their own and public health, whatever you think of this government, you know they can't all be wrong.

Epidemiologists train for a lifetime to get these scientific calls right. Had my Moderna booster this morning, feel fine!

Re: Who’s had the booster. Yes/no?
Yep last week. This one actually hurt a bit and the woman apologised as if she had buggered something up. Reassuring. Felt crap for 2 days..

Previous 2 jabs no side effects. I got covid after 2 jabs and was pretty bad for 2 weeks. Having had it I would prefer to have the booster to potentially reduce effects next time. There is always going to be an element of risk I guess.

Re: Who’s had the booster. Yes/no?
Yep had a pfizer booster three weeks back after two AZs few months ago. No after effects. In fact I was more worried about sitting there because they ask you to for 15 minutes with loads of others in a small doctor's surgery waiting room!

Nope, no need.
